Big City, Bolivar
During our girl trip to KC, we spent a few days out in the country with our friends. Here are a few photos of a few of the fun things there are to do in Bolivar.

Most everyone starts the morning off with a nice cool cup of coffee. I think it's about 1 part coffee, 3 parts creamer/sugar, but coffee nonetheless.
No time for relaxing. After breakfast, it's straight to work in the yard with Grandad Terry.
Who knew collecting walnuts could be such fun?
Then we all loaded up to take the walnuts to the shelling/sorting place.
It was actually quite fascinating.
In the country you still get to ride in the back of pick-ups. Just not very far if you're still little.
Then back home to work in the garden.
Diggin taters. They were delicious for dinner. Good work, Natalie!
Beautiful day to be outdoors.
Resting after all that hard work. Jack sure makes one soft pillow.
His ears are the softest.
After a long hard day of working, we spent the next day doing strictly fun stuff.
There's more than one way to get through a hay bale maze.
Barrel train ride.
Natalie is safe in Sierra's arms. What a cozy place to be.
Hay Ride
Corn Maze.
Sack Swing.
Gourd Launch. This was one of the best pumpkin patches of all time!
After the patch, we headed over to their family's horse barn.
All the kids took turns riding.
Natalie and a horse that was just her size.
Mom and Natalie were playing in the tractor when Natalie accidentally hit the horn, jumped and said, "Let's get out of here!"
Can't think of a better way to spend a couple of beautiful Fall days.
Cat Lover
Natalie was enamored by all the cats in the barn. Since Mommy doesn't love cats, she hasn't been properly trained on how to handle them. She's good at loving them though.

Natalie's Hero
We've been in NC for nearly 8 months now. If there's one single thing I still hear Natalie missing the most about Kansas City, it's Sydney Gail Chappell, her hero. Sydney is the youngest of 5, but still so big in Natalie's eyes. I cannot thank God enough for the kindness and genuine love this little girl has for my daughter. There are many reasons Natalie loves Sydney, but I think when someone loves you so much in return it's hard not to adore them. No one has made her laugh this hard in months.

Girl Trip
Natalie and Mommy in the airport waiting to takeoff on our first of hopefully many adventurous girl trips together. Destination, Kansas City and Bolivar, MO.
Week O Fun
When the Nelsons come to visit, there's no time for rest. It's all fun, all the time! It was truly wonderful to have the kids (and parents) back together for an entire week.

Seven nights of sleepovers. What could be better?!
Yes, this is as crazy as it looks.
These two are forever friends. Makes my heart smile.
The infamous dolphin swing at the Nabells dock.
Waitin for the dads to get the boat into the water.
Resting with a movie.
Oh the sensation of the wind in your hair!
Sutton's first ride! It took him all summer to get out of the lounge chair and into the water!
Snack break.
It's not a day at the beach until someone gets buried.
The long walk back across Masonboro Island.
Everybody crashed on the late afternoon ride home.

Well, almost everybody.
A great week with great friends. Now if we can just get them to move here for good!
You are my sonshine
So thankful for this happy little face in our home.
