Natalie made this necklace for Nate to wear on his birthday back in October. Ever since, the birthday person in our family has the pleasure of being able to wear it on their special day. Sutton appreciated his turn immensely. I just love this set of photos. Really shows his sweet, happy personality. The sweetest 3 year-old I know! So happy he is mine.
Birthday Boy
Sutton loves playing at McDonalds after breakfast with Grandaddy. He also loves trains. So, we had a Thomas party at the McDonalds playplace that he likes best. It was perfect.
He's so easy to please and so fun to please too! My cheeks hurt from smiling at that kid for the duration of his big day. This was the first birthday where he really understood it was all about him. His shy nature makes him detest being the center of attention, but even he seemed to enjoy that the party was all about his favorite things.

Waiting for the show to begin.
Eighty adorable K4 students.

Small Group Cookout
Such a blessing to be able to host new friends for us and our kiddos for a summer cookout.
Reading Room
We have multiple baskets of books in our home, strategically placed next to cozy chairs, some even kid-sized. But where do my children end up doing most of their reading? The answer: Wherever is closest to Mommy. On this particular day (and many days), it was on the cold, hard, probably not terribly clean kitchen floor. Natalie was actually reading to an entire class of students. That's why her book is facing outward. I love listening to these two read, no matter which room they are in.
Uncle Nate
My brother, Terry, and his family moved back to town. We are so blessed to be able to see the cousins (the dozens, as Sutton calls them) more often. Below is a photo of Uncle Nate getting some help from Isaiah on putting together Natalie's new bike!
