Myrtle Beach Mermaid
I'm pretty sure I was just as, maybe more excited about the "real" mermaids at the aquarium in Myrtle Beach as Natalie was. She thought it was really cool, but still told me, as she was watching her swim, "Mom, I think those are legs in there." Yes, honey, I think you're right. It's hard not to like something so dream-like and fun though.

If there's a slide, Sutton will find it.

Cheap Thrills
Of all the many things there are to do at this great place, Natalie's favorite two: pushing the elevator buttons (inside and out) and opening the room door with the card. Gotta love 3 year-olds.

Carnies
There's an oceanside carnival within walking distance of our resort in Myrtle Beach. It is here we discovered that our sweet, petit 3 year-old is a daredevil at heart. The quicker the ride, the bigger she smiled! I just love that grin.

He could've gone around 100 times and it wouldn't have been long enough.
The next few photos are of Natalie and Mimi on the rollercoaster.
Climbing up into her seat.
Waiting for takeoff.
Exhiliration.
Little fisherman.
Mommy was much more nervous about the ferris wheel than Natalie was.
The choo choo, always a favorite.

My cheeks literally hurt by the end of the night for all the smiling I did at Sutton. That little hand just kept waving EVERY time he'd pass us on EVERY ride. Too sweet.
Boogie Girl
Every time I turn around, Natalie is doing something more and more grown-up. This summer was her first time on a boogie board and she LOVED it. Can't hardly wait to boogie side-by-side!

And one of Sutton, chillin as always.

Sweet Baby Beau
My best friend from Nursing School, Lucy, has given birth to a perfect little boy. Natalie and I had the opportunity to meet him last week. In the photo below, she is taking pictures of him with not one, but two i-phones at the same time. I love that little girl.
I told you he was perfect...
Fun to the Fourth
We celebrated the 4th of July at pool party at Mr.Wes and Mrs.Vickie's house. It was really fun being a part of the party I used to only hear about over the phone from Kansas City!

Sutton and Daddy relaxin after a long hard swim!

We will never forget this 4th of July! It was here that Natalie started jumping off the diving board and swimming to the ladder all by herself!

Over and over and over and over...
Good to the last drop
It seems like yesterday when I first saw Natalie drinking the milk from her bowl and thought it was the cutest thing ever. I've blinked, and now it's my Baby who is sweetly slurping his breakfast leftovers. Sutton Paul, stop getting so big!

Before & After
We've done a lot of work to our new house, but the kitchen floor is definitely the most impressive change. We thought the tile had a black tint. Nope, just REALLY dirty. Luckily, it wasn't too terribly hard to get it clean. And thanks to Granny's expert grout cleaning abilities, the work was cut in half. I still wouldn't recommend eating off the floor, but it's tons better!
