Birthday Boy
Sutton loves playing at McDonalds after breakfast with Grandaddy. He also loves trains. So, we had a Thomas party at the McDonalds playplace that he likes best. It was perfect.

He's so easy to please and so fun to please too! My cheeks hurt from smiling at that kid for the duration of his big day. This was the first birthday where he really understood it was all about him. His shy nature makes him detest being the center of attention, but even he seemed to enjoy that the party was all about his favorite things.
K4 End of Year Program

Waiting for the show to begin.
Eighty adorable K4 students.
Natalie, reciting her 4 sentence sunfish part!

Small Group Cookout
Such a blessing to be able to host new friends for us and our kiddos for a summer cookout.

Reading Room
We have multiple baskets of books in our home, strategically placed next to cozy chairs, some even kid-sized. But where do my children end up doing most of their reading? The answer: Wherever is closest to Mommy.  On this particular day (and many days), it was on the cold, hard, probably not terribly clean kitchen floor. Natalie was actually reading to an entire class of students. That's why her book is facing outward. I love listening to these two read, no matter which room they are in.

Uncle Nate
My brother, Terry, and his family moved back to town. We are so blessed to be able to see the cousins (the dozens, as Sutton calls them) more often. Below is a photo of Uncle Nate getting some help from Isaiah on putting together Natalie's new bike!

Surgeon Sutton
While I was working in the laundry room Sutton was setting up a sterile field and operating on a baby doll. The surgery lasted longer than expected, but the patient was just fine.

Sutton's Take on Softball
Playing with the big girls.
 Climbing on the bleachers.

At the Ballpark
Natalie is enjoying her first year of softball. Her little team is adorable.

Notice the team mascot right in the middle of the girls.
They looked SO tiny at opening ceremonies.
 First time on deck.
 First time at bat!
Coach Glenn cheering her onto third base.

 Coming across the plate!

Spring Trip to Oklahoma and beyond
We got to visit many friends and family on a whirlwind tour of the midwest. We went from Norman, OK to Tulsa to Springfield, MO to Kansas City. So great to see the ones we love and miss.

At the Tulsa Zoo, on the zoo train, of course.
Donkey ears from his class on Passover Sunday at Mimi and Pops' church.
 Playing footsie with Nonnie.
